Here are the BASIC PRINCIPLES of our studio:
1. If you choose to join us then great, we love what we do! We agree to prepare and show up to teach you, so you agree to show up on a regular weekly basis, no excuses.
2. Just like a gym membership, use it or loose it. If you choose not to attend, we understand but can not refund any missed or unused lessons.
3. Enjoy yourself and have as much fun learning as we do teaching you the beautiful art of music.

And now here are the Icky specifics of our formal studio policies:
Lesson Slot Times and Cancelation Policy
- Lesson times are booked on a regular weekly basis, unless you have purchased individual lesson packs - $60 per lesson. This means you have been granted access to a discounted rate and time slot as a mutual agreement between yourself and the studio. This agreement explicitly states that you will regularly attend lessons each and every week during the 4 yearly school terms. (Holiday lessons do still run, but you may opt to attend or not, as long as you inform us a minimum of 14 days prior). Should you wish for no lock ins and more freedom, these are called 'pay as you go' lessons or single lesson packs, which are priced at $60 per lesson, and can be purchased here: https://www.premierepiano.shop/online-shop
- Cancellations due to emergency circumstances (such as sudden illness) must be requested via our online request page with a MIINIMUM 24 HOURS NOTICE. There is a strict limit of 1 reschedule per student per semester (6 month period). This single missed can be made up sometime within the teacher’s weekly time slot should you wish to make it up. Please note however that you CAN NOT roll these as credits into any new month or pack.
- Cancellations due to foreseen circumstances (such as public holidays, vacations, trips, etc.) must be communicated A minimum of 4 weeks in advance. Once your invoice has been sent it will not be amended.
- Cancellations which breach these conditions (e.g. cancelling within 24 hours, failing/forgetting to attend, or simply cancelling lessons) will incur the LOSS OF THOSE/THAT LESSON FEE(S). Bear in mind that your slot is booked and exclusively reserved for you, hence you own it, and it is not given to others who may want it or be on a waiting list. You are therefore agreeing to attend that booked time slot on a regular weekly basis for the entire duration of each term. Please note that this condition is also enforced due to the fact that our educators plan ahead for your lessons, travel considerable distances and always show up to the agreed lesson time and location. Hence they must be PAID for their time regardless of whether or not the student/client decides to attend or not.
- If the student is late to a lesson, the teacher will wait and teach the student for the remaining portion of the lesson time slot only, no more or less. Therefore please lann for any traffic, bad weather, and other variables, and do your best to Arrive 5 minutes prior to your booked lesson time.
Paying Lesson Payments
- All lesson tuition costs are to be paid Up FRONT on the 1st day of the month and or invoice cycle. Please set up a regular transfer on your online banking for the 1st of every month and or cycle to ensure effective and prompt payment. We will always strive to be flexible and understanding, however in the end we do appreciate your cooperation with this.
- A grace period of up to 3 Days will be extended during our initial period of this new billing cycle, however lesson fees which are not paid on time may result in the loss of your booked lesson slot. Subsequent delays in payment may incur LATE FEES.
Loss of folder/practice books/materials
- Any materials, equipment or instruments lost or broken by a student will need to be Replaced at the original cost. So please take care of the studio, instruments, folders, books, sheet music and any other items.
- If you need any music or method books, your teacher will be more than happy to purchase these for you, however they must be Paid for in Full BEFORE the teacher can give them to the student.
Refunds
- Unfortunately, once a membership has been purchased, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or roll overs due to any circumstances.
- Should you wish to discontinue lessons, please let the studio know via email and well within the minimum time frames (1 month preferable, 2 weeks minimum). Please do not ask any of the teachers or other staff for refunds as these are not permitted, nor do they control funds or tuition fees.
